How to Paint Ocean Waves and Reeds – Art Tuition Video No.84

Today I have chosen Shaun Ryan painting ocean waves.

In this 6 minute speed painting exercise Shaun applies the rule of thirds partitioning his canvas by using masking tape.

He places an impressive wave in the middle of his painting and adds background cliffs at a later stage.

Finally Shaun adds reeds in the foreground giving the painting even more depth.

The techniques will work for both oils and acrylics.
Hope you will enjoy my choice of the day.
