Mining Museum

Today I will be opening my new exhibition at our local library. The press have even promised to send someone.

Yesterday I have spent about two hours setting it all up making sure the paintings are arranged in a sensible order. There are oil paintings, paintings on canvas and several works on Hahnemuhle and Daler Rowney fine art paper.

There are more than 30 paintings of different formats showing landscapes of our county which was once a centre of the mining and steel industry. Today the factories have been converted into museums and the air is clean again. So I go round looking for beauty in nature capturing those views for posterity.

The exhibition will last all through November.

About Pat Harrison

Painting and drawing have been my passion from early childhood. I have attended numerous exhibitions in England and Germany. Presented with the Judges Award at a show I now have one of my paintings on permanent display at a museum in Greater London with growing sales and commissions.
