The Raging Sea – Acrylic Painting

seascape painting by artist Pat Harrison

Raging Sea

My friends at our art club were wondering what was going on when I started splashing paint all over my canvas board during our last session. It looked as if I was going to paint an abstract. In fact it was only the under painting for the seascape you can see in the picture.

This acrylic painting on a 30x40cm canvas panel shows a seagull facing the storm above the ocean waves.

It was painted purely from memory so it does not show any particular coastline. However I prefer to think of it as being somewhere in Devon or Cornwall.

You will find more of my landscape paintings when you click here.
