Haytor on Dartmoor – Acrylic Painting

painting by Pat Harrison

Haytor on Dartmoor

I have painted the impressive rock formation of Haytor on Dartmoor several times over the years. It has not lost its appeal to me.

There is always something new to discover. Depending on the season you will find heather and gorse bushes and of course the light is always different depending on the seasons and the time of day.

This landscape painting in acrylics on canvas panel is 30x40cm in size.

You will find more pictures here.

  1. Yes, Murray. It is a beautiful place indeed.

Nice one, I know this rock formation pretty well, I led a painting holiday from the HF House just down the road from there and took the guests over to paint Haytor.
