Travelling West – Acrylic Painting

painting by Pat Harrison

Travelling West

The acrylic painting on a 40x50cm canvas panel shows St.Michael´s Mount in Cornwall on a sunny day with a forlorn suitcase on the beach. The original has spent a week in Chelsea´s Old Town Hall as I had submitted it to the CAS annual exhibition.

The Chelsea Art Society´s open exhibition had invited members and non members to hand in paintings and sculptures to be put on display for almost a week. Unfortunately there was only room for about 400 paintings selected from more than a 1,000 submitted. So mine spent the time in a room adjacent to the exhibition hall.
