Collecting Motifs for new paintings

Portland Bill Lighthouse

I have recently returned from a trip to Dorset collecting motifs for new paintings.

Going by the beautiful scenery I have seen it will take me years to work through the material I have collected.

The photo of the lighthouse at Portland Bill with the nearby pub is just one of the memories I have brought back with me. We stayed in a cottage not far from here. Day trips took us to various locations inland and on the Jurassic Coast. Over the next few weeks I will show you some of the photos I took hoping to be able to use them as a basis for my paintings. There is still a lot of material from other parts of England I have not converted into paintings yet. So I am sure I will not run out of ideas.

About Pat Harrison

Painting and drawing have been my passion from early childhood. I have attended numerous exhibitions in England and Germany. Presented with the Judges Award at a show I now have one of my paintings on permanent display at a museum in Greater London with growing sales and commissions.
