How to glue watercolour paper to a board – Video No.232

This 2 minute video will show you how to glue watercolour paper to a board. I have used a similar method using wallpaper glue and 40 years later that panel is still intact. However I did not paint on it with watercolour but I used Plaka paints a casein based colour instead. Watercolour would have been too wet and it might have lifted the paper off the board.

Today I would use acrylics which again might be too wet for my DIY board made with wallpaper glue. Instead I now use ready-made boards with a cotton based surface bought from my art supply shop. It saves a lot of time.

Hope you like my choice of the day.
