Providers often don´t realize the problems they are causing us. Everything had been fine until recently. It would have been nice to have been informed about software changes on my domain which led to me losing orders. I also contacted the software people who sold me the online shop as I did not know which one of them was responsible, the domain provider or the software people.
After the software changes order acknowledgements on my shop only went out to my customers without sending me a copy. So I was unaware of any orders and the customer will have been wondering why he was not receiving any goods. I only found out about the problem when a customer contacted me via a separate email about an order he had placed via my website.
In order to rectify the problem I had to register a new email on my domain with a link diverting mails to my personal email account. It only worked after several failed attempts and numerous changes in my domain and email settings (trial and error). Thank goodness it´s alright now.
Has anyone ever experienced anything like it? Please, let me know.
