Koekkoek Painters at B.C. Koekkoek House Cleves

On Sunday my friend Peter and I gave a presentation at the Koekkoek Museum in Cleves. It was our third year to have been invited to exhibit and sell our works.

Peter and I painted live in the traditional style inspired by the 19th century Dutch master. So we have been dubbed “The Koekkoek Painters” by the curator of the Museum. The photos above give you a glimpse of the show with paintings from miniatures to large-scale canvases.

The beautiful weather and many other activities taking place in the town seem to have reduced the number of visitors to the house compared with previous years. On the other hand some of the visitors had come especially to see us Koekkoek painters in action so we were told. So I was happy to make a sale.

The museum and gardens were open to the public with another special exhibition of pastels taking place on the upper floor. The organisers had even baked some wonderful tasty cakes and fruit flans with coffee and teas for visitors to buy.

You will find more of my Koekkoek inspired landscape paintings when you click here. Originals and limited edition prints are available upon enquiry.
