Still Life Series – Ice Age

painting by Pat Harrison aka Rainer Hillebrand

Ice Age

This still life painting shows a chocolate ice cream floating through space. We may not be heading for an ice age as the title suggests but the summer heat waves will certainly prompt us to ask for lots of ice cream.

The painting is 13x18cm in acrylics on canvas panel.

I love still lifes which are so different from my larger landscape paintings. They make me explore new textures and shapes. These new challenges help me to improve my skills. Collectors of still lifes often look for the unusual so here is one.
