Caravaggio – National Gallery Lunch Time Talk

You will be interested to learn that the National Gallery in London, England offer half hour lunchtime talks about famous works in their collection. Fortunately for all of us who cannot go round there to attend the lectures live and in person there are recordings of the presentations available on youtube.

Today I have chosen the story of the exciting life and work of Caravaggio who was born in the 16th century and lived into the 17th. Letizia Treves the curator of later Italian, Spanish, and French 17th-century paintings tells us about three of his works and what is known about his life.

You will find more of my paintings when you click here.
