A new production introducing the Australian painter Peter Smeeth has been shown on German tv in English with German subtitles. Peter, who used to be a family doctor turned to painting professionally several years ago. He is known for his wonderful portraits, still lifes, and landscapes and has won many prizes. In this 25 minute production Peter produces one of his famous works.

In my series of films on a German tv channel I present artists belonging to AERA the Association Embracing Realist Art. The films are being broadcast several times a month. Members have their work put in front of a wide audience. German subtitles are added where necessary to make it accessible to viewers who are less fluent in English. The productions are not only shown on the German TV channel several times over but they have also been entered into the station´s free public media library.
