My new production introducing the Australian painter Lucy McCann will be shown on German tv in English with German voice overs. It is based on Graeme Stevenson´s video whose English presentation starts after a 2 minute prelude in German.
Lucy McCann and her busband Barry live in Armidale, Australia. Lucy studied fashion and dress design at The National Art School which gave her the grounding in draftsmanship and design.
She won a scholarship to model with June Dally-Watkins and continued to model with the agency while designing clothing and accessories with the fashion design label, Cue. She has been a teacher of art for 20 years, in Australia, New Zealand and Italy.
The film shows Lucy choosing a motif, composing and drawing a sketch and demonstrating the painting process from the start to the finished picture.

In my series of films on a German tv channel I present artists belonging to AERA the Association Embracing Realist Art. The films are being broadcast several times a month. Members have their work put in front of a wide audience. German subtitles are added where necessary to make it accessible to viewers who are less fluent in English. The productions are not only shown on the German TV channel several times over but they have also been entered into the station´s free public media library.
Furthermore Zattoo offer a live stream for subscribers in Europe. You can register for free. It will give you access to 89 tv channels. One of them is NRWision which features our AERA programmes several times a month.
